"good days and then some not so good days"

Hey everyone hows it going? it is almost 6pm so our p day is almost over im so frustrated.
                                     Kingston Zone vs Spanish Town Zone
we went to portmore to play basketball today and on our way back the assistants called elder peterson and said he had to go into the office and since we were in the car with him we went too. well after that we went out and ate at a restaurant im so full... well we just got back into linstead and i swear if one person says something to me thats rude i might just pop them a good one. ugh.  there was a bus  that needed 2 more people so then it would leave and we got on a bus that was empty to come home on. so we had to wait there forever waiting for our bus to fill up.  any ways our week was good we had some good days and then some not so good days! el Lee tells me that pres told him that he is gonna be a zone leader next transfer so that means he will get transfered! pres came and did interviews with us then we took him teaching with us he is funny! we have one girl. samantha that is coming along good so hopefully she keeps doing good! ummm what else we were gonna attend a different church on sunday night but when we got there it was over darn it i want to go see them dance and speak in there tounges and all that. lol tell breht congrats lol i cant wait to see him i dunno if she sent a pic or not but im low on time and dont know if i'll be able to email everyone today darn it. i got everything that was in my package it was so nice gettin good candy i thought i was going to be sick haha but it was all good! well other than that just pray for me haha

Holy cow bertha that is crazy! wow i wish i could be there darn it but im sure you will have another one before i get back so i better get used to it!!! how is everything he looks alot like you haha the name jett ridge is cool he is lucky to have that name. thats the one i liked out of all of them!!! i got my package and everything and things are still tough with elder lee but they are gettin better! know that i love you. give the lil stinker a kiss for me haha           love ya breht!! stetson

P-DAY TUESDAY

Just got a message from my Jamaican facebook friend that is in Elder Montgomerys branch saying that his P Day will be on Tuesday this week. She mentioned that they are going to go play basketball in Portmore on Tuesday so their emails may come later than usual as well. I'll post it as soon as I get it!

slowest week of my whole mission

Hello again! another p day is here hard to believe huh.. that was probably the slowest week of my whole mission this transfer has been pretty tough on me! we have been in the house alot. its frustrating me. send my spurs or a hot shot something. i sure miss elder peterson we were always just out and about not just hangin out in the house waiting on people to come to us for the gospel lol. its been a long week thats for sure! ugh!!!!! but anyways. i havent got my packages yet. elder peterson has them in spanish town though so i will get them on wed. when we go down there for district meeting! ya my package has been sitting there for like 2 weeks the office elders just kept forgetting it. i guess. but ya everything sounds so good. can't wait they just have no good candy or anything and im living off peanut butter and jelly and its getting old. i cant wait. lol i've been craving candy. ugh the food here is ok some things are weird ex. chicken foot nasty ugh i about hurled its so weird um turkey neck is good

but lots of bones and the thought of eatin a turkney neck lol umm ly fav is curry chicken or brown stew chicken with dumplings yum thats good oh and burger king is good lol.el peterson said he has 2 packages there so thats cool dont know how i will get them back from spanish town haha they pack us in them buses like sardines so it will be interesting with 2 boxes haha! we havent been able to see ricky at all this week. you see me and elder peterson would stay out til 9 and we would go see ricky every night at about 8 well el lee doesn't like to stay out past like 8 it seems. im so bored. when we go in he just sleeps and i just sit at my desk and twidle my thumbs. its so frustrating! about the truck no truck yet. any ways they are selling all the cars that the mission owns and buying little mazda trucks or something its because the roads are so bad and the cars bottom out all the time! but we havent got one yet. anyhow yesterday was fast sunday i got up and bore my testimony its my goal to bear it every fast sunday while on my mission i sit there and try to think of what im gonna even say and the time ticks by and there is like 10 minutes left and i get promted to go up cuz im runnin out of time but then i get another feeling that is just like ahh you dont need to go up just sit here. so right when that happened i jumped up and went and waited in line because i knew if i didnt i would of ignored the prompting to go up! and that was also what i bore my testimony on was listening to our promptings! they are there to protect us and for us to do good and only good stuff comes from our heavenly father. anything thats evil comes from satan so i knew i had to get up there and im glad i did!!!ok i have to write my mission pres real fast then i'll think of more stuff to email you ok bye love you! PS anyways that sucks to hear about morgan missing them buck darn left handed kids anyways! hmmmm breht can have her baby any day? and the name jett is way better than all them other ones but thats like a cowboy name not no city boy name lol thats crazy to think o my goodnesss what they gonna name the lil red head? lol lord i apoligize for makin fun of the red heads and be with the starvin pigmis down in new gini amen!! hey i was thinkin in my christmas package you can go to sportmans and buy a hunting coloring book and send it they are usually by the cash registers and i was thinking maybe some home made dried carmel pop corn??? would that make it in time or go bad? it just sounds so good all the time haha

wow hosman has been out a year thats crazy!!! and ive been wantin schofields email so thanks for that!

Lots of Rain...New Companion!

hey everything is good here we got quite a bit of rain last week. i think we only taught like 6 lessons the whole week cuz we were inside all the days. it was boring but me and elder peterson made it fun lol. we got the transfer call on thursday or friday and when elder peterson said he was leaving i freaked. im not ready to have him gone thats for sure. i hardly know the area let alone have someone that has never been here.

my new companion is elder lee. he is a jamaican he is quiet but a nice kid. he has to have the house just spotless he says so we are gonna be cleanin today. i guess he has a hurt foot so when we walk it swells up huge and it hurts him bad. he said that we are supposed to get a truck here to drive i guess. so thats gonna be a crazy experience! but it so far so good. elder peterson is the zone leader in spanish town so i still get to see him every wednesday and district meeting. we are gonna rig a bunch of trade offs so we can hang out for a day lol. he was just such an awesome companion and we had alot in common. any how i still havent got my package yet it is in the office i guess but they forgot it yesterday that ticked me off. anyways some more things you can put in the next package : the ipod with good music on it country disney music just anything good i guess i also need the speakers for it. that guitar lesson book. i dont know if you have sent shoes already but elder randle says docs are the way to go because they are water proof and they hold up really good his were size 12 and they were too big so like a size 11 would probably work they are just the original low top ones i guess but its up to you on the shoes i dont want you to be spending a ton of money on me. but thats all i can really think of right now umm it was conference this weekend so we just sat it the church sat and sunday and watched conference it was fun. oh friday night we were in spanish town doing an interview and after wards we were waiting on a bus to come home

and so were about 50 other people. 

well a bus comes and people flock to it and i was in the middle of it all trying to get on and it filled up before i could get on. so we waited on the next one i got in but elder peterson didnt so i had to get off. the 3rd one came and we didnt even try. so here it was 9:30 and we are supposed to be in our house and we are an hour away from home so we walk out by the main road and there is a bus coming so we wait like cougars gettin ready to attack and when we hear him yell linstead we bolt for that bus and i was being shoved and everything and i didnt think i was gonna get on then el peterson yells prison rules lol so i barge in pushing and shoving and we got on that dang bus thats for sure haha it was crazy but ya thats my excitement for this week! love you all stetson

hey p-day is on tuesday this week because of transfers. el peterson is getting moved darn it. just wanted to let u know so you wouldnt be expecting an email monday.

1st Baptism...Happy Birthday!!!

anyways about my week. it was good we pretty much spent alot of time with ricky and chris trying to get them ready to be baptized. friday elder brough came up to interview them. i went with him to chris's house and he interviewed him when they came out of the house he said well he is good to go! and he wants you to baptize him! i was shocked i was for sure elder peterson would do it because he has been teaching him for awhile but he picked me i was nervous then we wen to rickys and he backed out he said his mom needed to think about it more and when we talked to his mom she said she would sign the paper for him to be baptized he is 17 thats why we have to have parent permission but it was realyy him he has been up and down lately we went there thursday and he had stupid questions about the gift of tounges and stuff like that and he said he wasnt going to be baptized this week so we just left and i bore my test. to him and then we left he called 10 minutes later sayin he wasnt going to let someone else run his life(his dad) and he was going to be baptized! well then when we went to interview him he said no so hopefully we can work with him more this week to get him ready! oh and yes the sun goes down at 6 and its dark about 7 lol any how thats crazy about shawn gee! tory killed a nice bull tell dad and have tory send you some pics. but ya i baptized chris friday night it was a very cool experience i was really nervous but it went good! i made my own birthday cake yesterday and celebrated with el peterson! your cake looked way better lol but it was still a cake im gonna try to send some pics and im almost out of time

Basketball.... then email, Whew! We thought it would never get here!

Well i havent got your package yet darn it i was hoping to get it today! no birthday card either! my pumas are 11.5 but i dont know about that whole puma thing anymore but still look and tell me what you think it might look goofy with church clothes.... we have hot water most of the time if our little hot water heater shower head thingy works! everything is good here we are expecting 2 baptisms on saturday thats exciting i will probably baptize one of them! nervous haha oh and the reason it took so long to email today is because we went and played basketball in portmore spanish town zone vs kingston zone it was fun but really hot! so know we have to get home and hurry and do our laundry and go shopping all before 6 its almost 3 now. i went on my first trade off this last week i went to spanish town with one of the zone leaders!  i want you to send me that purple jump rope thats at the house and a play rope preferrably and ummm oh ya work out bands like the elastic ones you know what im talkin about? and the a P90 X book. im dying to get my package though gee its my birthday sunday i want it for my birthday hopefully it gets here in time!! is jared and dad bow hunting? did jared go buy a bow or what? if so what kind? it sounds like the girls are doing good i'll email them hopefully i got time today. but ya everything is good here love you all!! PS  oh we met this guy and he told us to come back on sunday so we did and he was way drunk so we started talkin about the word of wisdom! but he went off about jesus christs mom and all kinds of stuff and he asked me what Jesus told his apostles so i was like what are you talking about? and he got all mad and was like what did he tell them so i thought i would mess with him so i told him Jesus told them that he liked frosted flakes... he sat there and then was all yes yes yes brethern shake it shake (he was shakin my hand) lol it was so hilarious i was doing all i could not to bust up laughing and elder peterson was behind the guy just rolling it was so funny! probably not what i should of done but it was funny! we are supposed to go see him again today so im gonna try to record it from my camera atleast what we say he is crazy though!

1st SUNDAY...1st TALK

 just to answer some of your questions.  we come to a computer lab thing in Linstead where we have to pay $190 for an hour and 15 minutes online. we cant print emails well i guess we could but i imagine it costs money.  i had to speak in Church the first sunday i got to Linstead crazy i cant even remember what i talked about lol forgivness or something. it went good though cant really use any roping stories or hunting stories here because they have nooooo clue what you are talking about haha. we eat tons of rice. rice and peas they call it. its just rice with beans. um chicken fish pork is the main things ackee which is like a vegtable/fruit its kinda like eggs i guess but taste way different its pretty good it just depends on who cooks i guess but they always have a ton of rice like a mountain of rice and a couple pieces of chicken or something. ugh chicken foot soup had that at a wedding its like a soup you drink i guess it was wierd.  sounds as if the fair went good. thats good! i wish i could of been there i want some american food gee wiz! we are teaching a kid named chris he has been taught a ton of times but wants a vision or something to confirm his answer so the other day we taught him then asked him to pray about it so he was like can i pray right now so we were like ya so we knelt down and he prayed "the whole time he was praying i was praying that he would get his answer" when he said amen we just sat there for about a minute we stood up and i knew i felt it but wasnt sure if he did. elder peterson asked how do you feel? he said honestly.... pause i was like no way he had to of felt it... then he said i cant deny it i know its true!! so cool he is gonna be baptized the 25th it was really cool to see that! we are still workin on Ricky he said he kows the book of mormon is true so i dont know whats holdin him up... anyways those are some nice hair clippers i bought.. they sound like sheep shears... garbage! i was thinkin maybe you could get me some black pumas. another missonary had all black shoes on so i thought maybe thats the way to go for shoes i dont know what do you think? well all is well here Love you all when you talk to tim ask him what is he doin with his life? i sent him emails and he never writes back jerk face haha well love ya stetson

Hello everyone ok first things first things i need. Robs email. maybe some sheets for my bed the fitted one and the other one to we don't have a dryer so we have to let everything hang dry so it would be nice to have another set of sheets for that. some fair food haha that sounds so good. some thicker socks like tube socks maybe some that will stay up good but are thicker than these thin church socks they are wearing through already. some hot tamales :). what about my memory card? should i send it home when it gets full then you can just upload my pictures? if thats the case send one my way and i'll send mine back or however you want to do it it just takes to much time to email them. oh ask brandy how she does that tea bag thing where you light it on fire and it flies out of your hand. maybe start lookin for me some shoes maybe some that tie or even ones like my sketchers (my brown slip ons) just get them in black same size as them thats the hard part about getting shoes is they might not fit good ummm i think thats all i wont need the shoes for awhile though.. Anyways how was the fair or how is it... i dont know when it started. i really want some fair food gee that sounds so good. everything is going good here my companion left for 3 days and went to Kingston for some training so i was left here in Linstead only being out one week they left me in charge with Elder Kraus from Port Antonio      he hasn't been out long either so we were lost.  We were supposed to have a baptism on saturday but Chris hadn't got his answer yet he said so who knows... and Ricky our other one that should be gettin baptized this week is second guessing it i guess you could say. his dad is from some other church and is giving him some hard times but i hope he just stays strong because he is a good kid! the members are really good here like i've said we have dinner appointments everynight except fri and sat. so thats nice. some food is good and others are a little ify haha. it rains all the time so if your not wet from the sweat your wet from the rain. its been exciting though i really miss the cool nights here you sweat all the time its crazy. i still can't really understand what some people say so i just stand there and wait for elder peterson to say something so i know what they are talking about haha. hmmm what else... it sounds as if bai is doing good at csi so thats good. how is tegan? have they started school yet? well i cant think of anything else. how the hunting going dad? have you been? keep me posted. well i didnt get an email from you this week so i dont know what to say love you all stetson

PS i just got your email sounds hectic :) i wish you could send me stuff for monkey bread but we dont have a microwave. darn it they dont have brown sugar here or tortillas or cinnamon candy i guess i'll just fill my memory card up then send it home since your planning on sending another one to me so that will work out good. and that way i dont have to email pictures home. i've been videoing as much as i can. i wish i could walk down the street and video but my camera would probably get stolen. i just want some american food gee wiz a big steak or something. they have a kfc haven't eatin there yet though well im gonna try to look at my blog really quick bye
